WOMEN ARE SACRED!

I wanted to take a minute to share a letter with you from Sacred Circle, The National Resource Center to End Violence Against Native Women. As stated previously, a portion of all profit from the shoe Strong Sisters... will go directly toward organizations or women's shelters that are a haven for Native Women who are victims of domestic abuse, in whatever form that may be.

Your purchases of Strong Sisters, (shoes) enabled Walk-N-Beauty to make its first large donation to Sacred Circle. I am still taking requests from programs/shelters that are submitted to me, requesting to be put on the list, for these gifts. Below is a letter from Sacred Circle, thanking you for your support.

Dear Jerri:

This letter comes from my heart to yours for the the very kind monetary gift of.. ***, which Sacred Circle received yesterday. Your generosity will make an immediate difference in the lives of mothers who are in need of shelter, safety and other services.

One thing that is impressive about you is your passion to bring awareness to the public by designing a special shoe called 'Strong Sisters' that will help fund native shelters in Indian country. You are very much appreciated for this effort.

In our commitment to end violence against our women, we thank you again for your kindness and may you walk in beauty also.

Sincerely
Catherine Grey Day

Thanks so much to the public for purchasing Walk-N-Beauty Footwear and especially the Strong Sisters shoe.. You are making a big difference helping our women who are victims of abuse.. with every step you take.. Thank you so much...

Jerri

The Domestic Abuse Design Shoe

I wanted to take a minute to introduce one of our new designs, called Strong Sisters. A portion of the sale of this shoe will be going directly back into native communities to shelters for women who are victims of DV, Domestic Abuse. This design was created specially for this 'cause' to remind us of the sisters all over Indian country who have been victims of physical, sexual, emotional and mental abuse. This picture doesn't truly do it justice, to show the beautiful colors in this beadwork. The dark beads are metallic purple iris cut beads combined with transparent pinks, and mauves, with a hint of turquoise. The beautiful dark purple, blue, and mauves in this design no longer will remind us of the purple bruises, pink swollen eyes from crying, and the colors of darkness.. but will be something beautiful to remind us of our sisters who are suffering and do our part to help give them hope and protection. If you know of a shelter that would like to benefit from this program please have them contact me here. Have a blessed day!
